|Must Have Features For Your Next Bathroom Redesign|
It’s well documented that a new bathroom can add thousands of pounds to the valuation of your property, but it’s also one of the most important rooms in your house for many other reasons too.
As well as being used daily by every member of the family, it’s also the perfect retreat after a stressful day in the office or a hectic day looking after the kids. Perhaps most importantly of all however, it’s a room visited by your guests too and for many making a good impression to them is often the most important thing of all.
So if you’re contemplating a redesign in the near future, and you want to make sure that your new bathroom has the wow factor, check out some of the latest must have features you may like to include in your designs.
Walk In Shower Enclosures
The walk in shower enclosure is fast becoming the centre piece of all modern bathroom designs. As well as providing a spacious and practical showering solution, the sleek lines and cool contemporary look of walk in shower enclosures are often enough on their own to convince people that there are a ‘must have’ addition for their bathroom.
As you may expect from the name, walk in shower enclosures allow people to walk straight in to the shower without the need to negotiate the pivoting or sliding door of a more traditional cubicle. They work by using a series of cleverly positioned glass baffles that contain the flow of water and, as well providing easy access, are generally more spaciousness, easy to clean and require little maintenance.
No luxury bathroom refit, it seems, is complete without the addition of a television. Bathroom TVs have been around for a while, but designs have come on leaps and bounds since they were first introduced and integrating them into beautiful bathroom designs is now easier than ever.
As with regular televisions, Bathroom sets come in a wide range of styles and sizes, but the TV of choice for the discerning homeowner of today is the stealth installation. In other words, until it’s turned on you don’t even know it’s there.
How is this achieved? Simple, the TV doubles as a bathroom mirror. When the power is switched on the regular looking bathroom mirror transforms into a fully functioning HDTV.
Auto-close Toilet Seat
We’re all familiar with the modern soft-close toilet seat but the auto-close is the latest trend in bathroom design, taking the concept one step further. The Auto-close design keeps the smooth, stylish action of the soft-close seat but adds automation, ensuring that even when you forget to close the toilet seat – your loo doesn’t.
This clever toilet-tech works by using an infrared sensor to constantly scan the surrounding area for your presence once the seat is opened. When the user steps away from the toilet, the clever commode will automatically lower the toilet seat, helping to prevent air born particles caused by flushing as well as putting an end to the age old argument of who left the loo seat up.
So if all this talk of a new bathroom has inspired you to start thinking about a refurb to your restroom, grab the other half and take some time out this weekend to tour your local bathroom showrooms in search of some inspiration for your next bathroom redesign.
